-SOUND BITES-

• “I see why people drink after becoming a father.” - Joshua returning to Blackberry Whiskey one week after becoming the proud father of three Happy Dads.

• “How much do memories cost?” - Joshua confronting the much less funny side of a failed drive containing years of creative work, family photos & personal memories.

• “Let’s all take a moment and let’s back our shits up.” - Sean immediately treating Joshua’s computer disaster as a public service announcement for everyone with a hard drive.

• “This will end up in some museum. I promise.” - Joshua unveiling his hand-drawn Candy Monster with the quiet confidence of an artist already preparing the retrospective.

• “Honestly, I was going to shit on you harder, but I can’t because this is great.” - Sean discovering Joshua actually followed the no-AI rule and produced a Candy Monster worthy of reluctant approval.

• “I’m not a wizard, Harry. I’m just a guy on a podcast talking to my best friend.” - Sean wrapping up his proposed solution to the increasingly ridiculous number of subscriptions required to watch sports.

• “Nerds are a hazard.” - Joshua eliminating a perfectly innocent box of candy from contention on the grounds that apparently Halloween now requires a risk assessment.

• “You shouldn’t need an accessory to eat candy.” - Joshua reducing the entire Fun Dip experience to an unnecessary amount of equipment.

• “When I bite into a Snickers, the memories come back.” - Joshua making the emotional case that helps carry Snickers all the way to the 2026 candy championship.

• “Not bad. Not a chase, but we’ll take it.” - Sean welcoming Annabelle as the first pull from Joshua’s October horror Funko box while keeping hope alive for the chase.

00:08

00:08 Whiskey after his computer takes 2 years

00:10

00:10 of files hostage. While Sean officially

00:13

00:13 opens spooky season with Blackberry

00:15

00:15 Limes Cider and the first batch of

00:17

00:17 handdrawn [music] Sorry for the Scare

00:18

00:18 artwork, Joshua's Candy Monster is

00:21

00:21 currently awaiting museum placement.

00:23

00:23 Then it's undefeated football optimism,

00:25

00:25 Halloween candy inflation, a 25 brown

00:27

00:27 sugar showdown, and Annabelle kicking

00:29 off the horror Funko unboxings. Enjoy

00:32

00:32 the show. Hello and welcome to another

00:35

00:35 episode of Sorry for the Delay. We are

00:37

00:37 your hosts. Uh my name is Sean. Right

00:40

00:40 over there is the one, the only, the

00:42

00:42 computer insavvy, not techsavvy, the

00:46

00:46 computer illiterate uh man of the hour,

00:49

00:49 uh Joshua. Uh Joshua, this is episode

00:52

00:52 154, my dude. We've made it to 154

00:55

00:55 episodes. Every day I think about it, I

00:56

00:56 just get a headache. So, I'm not even

00:58

00:58 going to think about it. Uh but let me

00:59

00:59 start with asking you, buddy. How are

01:01

01:01 you doing this beautiful October week?

01:05

01:05 Yes, it's not onlyund and episode 154,

01:09

01:09 but it's also October 6th. We have

01:11

01:11 officially reached into our pocket and

01:14

01:14 it's the spooky season. This is Sean's

01:17

01:17 favorite. Um, I don't know everybody

01:19

01:19 listening, everybody watching how you

01:21

01:21 feel about the month of October, but for

01:23

01:23 Sean, this is like his Super Bowl. This

01:25

01:25 is the best time of the year. And I'm

01:28

01:28 he's gradually turning me into like a

01:31

01:31 lover of the month. So maybe by the end

01:34

01:34 of this this month, how many weeks? We

01:35

01:35 got four weeks.

01:37

01:37 >> Four weeks. Four weeks. It's okay. Maybe

01:39

01:39 after four weeks, you will you will uh

01:42

01:42 or I will give you a rose, a black rose

01:43

01:43 or something or or however that goes.

01:46

01:46 >> You pick me or I pick you. We'll see if

01:47

01:47 I fall in love with it.

01:49

01:49 >> You know, I want you to give me a

01:50

01:50 balloon. I think that's the next one is

01:51

01:51 the balloon. Yeah. I don't I I don't

01:53

01:53 want you to pop my balloon, you know.

01:56

01:56 >> You know, speak of that. Would that be

01:57

01:57 funny if they gave people like unpopable

01:58

01:58 balloons in that show? Like [laughter]

02:00

02:00 they're like just watching them just

02:03

02:03 pop.

02:04

02:04 >> Exactly. Or some dull needles, you know?

02:06

02:06 They're just kind of like that would be

02:07

02:07 that'd be kind [laughter] of a be a cool

02:09

02:09 prank. Um but no, Sean, thank thank you

02:11

02:11 for asking, man. Um

02:13

02:13 I don't know. I know we just talked

02:15

02:15 about the the month of October, but I

02:16

02:16 feel like I need to name this this is

02:19

02:19 like the official

02:21

02:21 ATC episode. This is the after the crash

02:25

02:25 for me.

02:26

02:26 >> After the crash. Oh my god, buddy.

02:29

02:29 Before we get to that, should we have

02:30

02:30 some drinks in solidarity?

02:32

02:32 >> Let's Yeah. Yeah. Before we get to the

02:33

02:33 after the crack. Yeah. Yeah. Right.

02:35

02:35 >> Let's do that. So, go ahead, buddy. What

02:36

02:36 do you got? What are you sipping on this

02:38

02:38 week? What is inside your cup for uh

02:40

02:40 this week?

02:41

02:41 >> Okay. So, uh, last week I was a happy

02:43

02:43 dad of three and I see why people drink

02:46

02:46 after becoming a father. Uh, and they

02:48

02:48 start to go to the hard stuff because I

02:50

02:50 have now gone back to the hard stuff.

02:54

02:54 So, I kept it simple. I got a fat ice

02:56

02:56 cube in here. I was fat before we

02:58

02:58 started the all the technicals that

02:60

02:60 happened generally before we start film.

03:02

03:02 Um, which nobody knows about. Just me

03:04

03:04 and Sean before we hit the record

03:05

03:05 button. So, uh, there's a little insight

03:07

03:07 there. Um, but what is in my cup? You

03:08

03:08 know, I got a little bit of Jack Daniels

03:10

03:10 Blackberry Tennessee whiskey.

03:12

03:12 >> Oh, you got that one, huh? Okay.

03:14

03:14 >> Yeah. Yeah. I I got in my cup. Well, you

03:15

03:15 know, I It was getting a little dusty.

03:17

03:17 You know, I I couldn't tell if the dust

03:18

03:18 was inside. It was getting a little

03:20

03:20 cloudy or was on the outside. So, I

03:22

03:22 pulled the bottle out. Um, if you've

03:24

03:24 never had it, uh, tried I think it's a

03:26

03:26 it's a it's it's a it's a decent sip.

03:28

03:28 [snorts] Maybe it's not a top shot, but

03:30

03:30 it's a good sip. Um, so that's what I'm

03:32

03:32 sipping on. The Jack Daniels Blackberry

03:34

03:34 Tennessee whiskey. Sean, what's in my

03:35

03:35 cup? What is in your cup for this

03:36

03:36 episode? You know what's really funny?

03:38

03:38 Okay, so Joshua and I don't always

03:40

03:40 coordinate this stuff, but I'm wearing

03:42

03:42 the Black Cat t-shirt. So, a little

03:43

03:43 housekeeping here. Sorry for a little

03:44

03:44 late out live. Uh, we have some new

03:46

03:46 merch out. I wanted to start this off

03:48

03:48 real quickly with that. Uh, we ended up

03:51

03:51 just doing one shirt for the year

03:53

03:53 because, uh, Papa got lazy and didn't

03:55

03:55 want to finish the other one. So, we're

03:56

03:56 just doing all the handdesigned uh,

03:58

03:58 shirt merch this year. So, there's a

03:60

03:60 shirt in there uh, that I drew by hand

04:03

04:03 uh, and then transferred it digitally

04:05

04:05 uh, not using AI. and it's available

04:07

04:07 right now in the shop. It's very cute.

04:09

04:09 It's a candy corn and a green apple or

04:11

04:11 sorry, a caramel apple. Uh and it's

04:12

04:12 wonderful. My shirt arrives tomorrow. Uh

04:15

04:15 you'll see it next week. So, there's

04:16

04:16 that. So, sorry for layout live. Come

04:18

04:18 pick up some merch where you can also

04:19

04:19 get this shirt uh and all the other

04:20

04:20 shirts you'll be seeing me wear this uh

04:22

04:22 Halloween season. Uh but speaking of

04:25

04:25 that, uh we don't plan this stuff out.

04:27

04:27 Joshua just has this shirt icon on his

04:30

04:30 screen behind him and he's drinking a

04:33

04:33 blackberry bourbon. Uh, I have in my

04:37

04:37 cup. Uh, a blackberry lime cider. A new

04:41

04:41 flavor for me this week, buddy.

04:43

04:43 Blackberry lime by Portland Cider Co.

04:46

04:46 Uh, never had this before. This is an an

04:48

04:48 8.4. And so, go ahead and open this now.

04:51

04:51 Away from the computer. Sean, don't be

04:53

04:53 stupid. All right. And I'll go ahead and

04:55

04:55 give it a smelly smell first. Let's see

04:56

04:56 what it smells like.

04:59

04:59 Smells like blackberry and cider. It's

05:01

05:01 interesting. Uh, tartness. I can smell.

05:04

05:04 Here we go. A little sippy sip for the

05:06

05:06 boys back home. Cheers.

05:09

05:09 >> Yeah. Cheers.

05:11

05:11 >> Okay. All right. How [ __ ] with that?

05:14

05:14 What [ __ ] with that? It tastes like a

05:17

05:17 It tastes like blackberry jam, Joshua.

05:21

05:21 >> With just a slight a slight citrus

05:24

05:24 elevation, you know, so it doesn't it

05:26

05:26 doesn't make it so sweet, right? That

05:27

05:27 that lime is really cutting out the

05:30

05:30 sweetness. And that is the perfect fall

05:34

05:34 starter. All right, this is the first

05:36

05:36 official week of October that we're

05:38

05:38 going through, buddy. And I I love it.

05:40

05:40 So, now that we got our drinks in hand,

05:42

05:42 my dude, please let the people hear

05:45

05:45 about the trauma that has happened to

05:48

05:48 you this week. The again, this is the

05:51

05:51 official after the crash episode. Um,

05:53

05:53 Sean knows all about this and for all of

05:55

05:55 you guys watching, Sean and I put a a

05:59

05:59 ton of effort. I mean, okay, maybe not a

06:01

06:01 ton, but we put a [ __ ] ton of effort

06:03

06:03 into what we do here on the Sford

06:05

06:05 podcast. And

06:08

06:08 >> I literally the other day had one of the

06:11

06:11 drives on my computer fell. It was the C

06:13

06:13 drive that had all my creative content,

06:17

06:17 had all my data, had all the artwork for

06:20

06:20 the last 2 years.

06:23

06:23 So, my computer, for some reason, would

06:26

06:26 no longer boot. It was stuck in this

06:28

06:28 loop and I had to take it to the

06:30

06:30 hospital. Uh, one of the local plays

06:33

06:33 over in Apttos called Apptos Computer.

06:35

06:35 Shout out to them. The dudes there are

06:36

06:36 really cool. Um, so I took it in there.

06:39

06:39 Initially, the gentleman was like, "You

06:40

06:40 know what? I think we can salvage this.

06:42

06:42 Things are kind of, you know, from what

06:44

06:44 you're explaining, some of the

06:45

06:45 screenshots I took. I think we can I

06:46

06:46 think we can help you out. You you

06:48

06:48 probably might lose some stuff, but you

06:49

06:49 will not lose your data. We just need to

06:51

06:51 figure this out." So, I'm over here

06:53

06:53 thinking I'm in good spirits, whatever.

06:55

06:55 you know, I'm I'm feeling good about

06:56

06:56 this. I'm like, "Shit, dude, I got two

06:58

06:58 years worth of stuff." Um, so then he

06:60

06:60 gives me a call. He goes, "Joshua, guess

07:02

07:02 what?" I'm like, "What?" He goes, "That

07:04

07:04 drive, you know, your computer will not

07:07

07:07 boot." He goes, "It gets hot, but it

07:10

07:10 will not boot up." So, unfortunately,

07:13

07:13 you know, the all that data that I said

07:14

07:14 you were not going to be was going to be

07:17

07:17 lost. Basically, your life for the last

07:19

07:19 two years, well, it's I can't get to it.

07:23

07:23 It's done. It's gone. And so I'm

07:25

07:25 thinking to myself like, "Fuck, dude.

07:27

07:27 Like, what am I going to do?" He goes,

07:28

07:28 "You know what though, Joshua? There is

07:29

07:29 a solution. There are data recovery

07:33

07:33 um companies out there." So,

07:37

07:37 [clears throat] I'm going through this

07:38

07:38 in my mind right now, like, what am I

07:40

07:40 going to do with this drive that no

07:42

07:42 longer starts up? The gentleman said,

07:43

07:43 "It gets hot. I could probably send it

07:46

07:46 to these data recovery centers and they

07:48

07:48 can they can maybe scrub this thing."

07:50

07:50 So, I'm a little bit of a predicament. I

07:51

07:51 feel like the last two days, two two

07:53

07:53 years of my life have been lost. So,

07:54

07:54 this is like again officially like for

07:57

07:57 me the reboot of the Sorry for the Delay

07:59

07:59 podcast cuz I've lost everything.

08:02

08:02 Um, so to all you computer people out

08:05

08:05 there, um, who did help me out, I

08:07

08:07 appreciate everything that you did

08:08

08:08 there. That that was super cool. I just

08:10

08:10 I I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard

08:12

08:12 place cuz these things can cost anywhere

08:13

08:13 between $300 and $1,000 is what I found

08:16

08:16 out. And apparently, I could be wrong

08:18

08:18 here, for all you computer people, it's

08:21

08:21 not necessarily how much data you have

08:23

08:23 on the drive. It's the damage to the

08:26

08:26 drive itself that cost the money.

08:28

08:28 [snorts] So,

08:29

08:29 >> oh god.

08:30

08:30 >> Again, it could be a simple $300 fix or

08:33

08:33 it could be like a data scrub that's

08:35

08:35 going to cost me $1,000. So, I'm kind of

08:37

08:37 stuck. They said it heats up, so it's

08:39

08:39 not completely dead. I just [snorts]

08:41

08:41 don't know what to do. Um, so I'm I'm

08:44

08:44 kind of bummed out about this whole

08:45

08:45 thing and uh if any of you out there are

08:47

08:47 in a situation where you have memories

08:49

08:49 and you have content and you have things

08:51

08:51 that you value. Um, back your systems

08:54

08:54 up. Sounds stupid. Like I bet all you

08:57

08:57 guys do that anyways, but unfortunately

08:58

08:58 for the last two years I really didn't

08:59

08:59 do that and I paid the price dearly. Um,

09:02

09:02 so if you're listening to us, maybe back

09:04

09:04 your stuff up now. Um, because who knows

09:06

09:06 what could happen to all your your data

09:08

09:08 and now now I'm forced to the decision.

09:10

09:10 and I got to pay like $300 or $1,000 to

09:12

09:12 get my stuff fixed. I don't know what to

09:14

09:14 do. I have the drive, so um I just need

09:16

09:16 to figure out if I want to send it out,

09:18

09:18 but that's kind of my after the crash

09:20

09:20 situation that's going on over here. Uh

09:23

09:23 >> bummer. Um Sean's been helping me

09:25

09:25 through it.

09:26

09:26 >> So that's kind of what I'm experienced

09:28

09:28 from a creative content, you know,

09:30

09:30 whatever we're doing on this program.

09:32

09:32 Just having a good time. I've lost

09:33

09:33 everything. So, uh

09:34

09:34 >> that is

09:35

09:35 >> that's what's going on my end.

09:36

09:36 >> Demoralizing, buddy. It is so

09:38

09:38 demoralizing to lose two years

09:41

09:41 essentially of your life to just a

09:43

09:43 technical failure. You know, that's

09:45

09:45 that's heartbreaking. Heartbreaking. And

09:47

09:47 uh when Joshua told me this, I the first

09:50

09:50 thing I did was started backing up a lot

09:51

09:51 of stuff. Um there is stuff on here that

09:53

09:53 I'm just like, it's probably just

09:55

09:55 garbage. Uh but there's a lot of stuff,

09:57

09:57 especially with the podcast, that's

09:58

09:58 like, well, I should probably back this

09:59

09:59 stuff up. And so Joshua, I'm using this

10:01

10:01 as a as a warning that you've given the

10:03

10:03 people, and I'm taking that into heart

10:04

10:04 two, and I'm backing up my [ __ ] Uh the

10:06

10:06 only problem is uh [ __ ] hard drives

10:08

10:08 are expensive, brother. They're [ __ ]

10:11

10:11 expensive and we use a lot of data on

10:14

10:14 this podcast. You wouldn't think so, but

10:15

10:15 we do. We use a lot of it. And that [ __ ]

10:18

10:18 is It takes a long time to back up. So,

10:21

10:21 yes, let everybody right now right here,

10:25

10:25 let's all take a moment and let's back

10:26

10:26 our shits up. All right. Throw that

10:29

10:29 thing back and let's back it on up.

10:31

10:31 Okay.

10:32

10:32 >> So, buddy, I'm sorry you had to go

10:34

10:34 through that [ __ ] man. That is M

10:36

10:36 >> that is [ __ ] rough, you know. But

10:40

10:40 how do you feel after now? You feel like

10:42

10:42 the computer's running good?

10:44

10:44 >> Well, I I I Yes, the the computer feels

10:47

10:47 good. Uh if there's any saving grace a

10:50

10:50 long time ago, there was a little bit of

10:52

10:52 a mishap. I ordered one of these Samsung

10:54

10:54 992 terbte uh drives and at the time

10:58

10:58 when I purchased this, it was around

11:00

11:00 like $189.

11:03

11:03 I recently looked the drive. I have some

11:04

11:04 extra drives. I got like four or five of

11:06

11:06 those things. Um so, uh so I looked it

11:09

11:09 up and currently if I had to buy the

11:12

11:12 drive uh because that's what I needed to

11:14

11:14 get this computer up and running again.

11:15

11:15 I need another drive. [snorts] Um those

11:17

11:17 drives currently go for like 300 like

11:19

11:19 $89 now. They're almost $400.

11:22

11:22 >> Ridiculous.

11:23

11:23 >> That's [ __ ] ridiculous.

11:25

11:25 >> Yeah. So I I get it from Sean's

11:27

11:27 perspective and and if you're kind of

11:28

11:28 one of those computer people out there

11:29

11:29 you're building right now or considering

11:30

11:30 it, it's just RAM. All this stuff's

11:33

11:33 expensive to to create content and to

11:35

11:35 store content because that's ultimately

11:36

11:36 what you got to do. Um it's expensive

11:38

11:38 right now. So, um yeah, [snorts] back

11:41

11:41 your stuff up like Sean said. But

11:43

11:43 overall, I I feel good. And to be honest

11:45

11:45 with you, I'm like Sean, like how much

11:47

11:47 stuff I'm a little bit of a hoarder. If

11:49

11:49 you don't notice in the background, uh

11:50

11:50 how much stuff was actually on that

11:52

11:52 drive? That was maybe overkill. Like I

11:55

11:55 probably had like a bunch of duplicates

11:57

11:57 of things and you know, maybe I lost

11:58

11:58 some stuff.

11:59

11:59 >> Exactly. But more than just the content,

12:00

12:00 I did have personal like I had pictures

12:02

12:02 of like my dad. Like I had a bunch of

12:04

12:04 family stuff on there and trips that I'm

12:06

12:06 bummed out like that I was saving and um

12:09

12:09 again it's like how much do memories

12:11

12:11 cost? You know, two years worth of your

12:14

12:14 life and and even prior to that that I

12:16

12:16 had loaded on there. So it's a bummer

12:18

12:18 but um it's salvageable at this point.

12:21

12:21 >> Yeah. So, um,

12:23

12:23 >> I guess you got to ask yourself whether

12:24

12:24 or not it's worth the $1,000 price tag

12:27

12:27 that it could be if you want to send it

12:29

12:29 in and see if they can pull anything off

12:30

12:30 of there. And then I'd have to ask the

12:32

12:32 question, if you were to send it in and

12:33

12:33 they just sent it back and they're like,

12:36

12:36 uh, this is all we got and it's just

12:37

12:37 your porn folder, you know, like

12:39

12:39 [laughter]

12:40

12:40 they're like, "This is all we could

12:41

12:41 salvage. Would it have been worth it?"

12:44

12:44 You know, do they get do they give you

12:45

12:45 refunds on that kind of thing? You know,

12:47

12:47 well, because I don't think they do. And

12:49

12:49 that's the thing about this, right, is

12:50

12:50 like you're sending all of your files

12:52

12:52 and your personal and they they got to

12:54

12:54 go in there and there's like a privacy.

12:55

12:55 There's probably certain things, you

12:57

12:57 know, about companies not actually

12:58

12:58 looking at your files, but they do have

12:60

12:60 to open stuff up to a certain degree to

13:02

13:02 see if it actually opens and works.

13:04

13:04 >> So, I mean, do they open the one that

13:06

13:06 says, you know, bikini weekend, you

13:08

13:08 know, or do they open the one that says

13:10

13:10 like model car build, you know, like

13:13

13:13 which ones are they going to open? So,

13:16

13:16 >> you'd like to think the integrity of

13:17

13:17 companies that you send your your you

13:19

13:19 know your data out to or whatever. Um

13:20

13:20 they're not going to go through all your

13:21

13:21 personal stuff. But again, you never

13:23

13:23 know. Like I guess that's how people get

13:25

13:25 blackmail all the time the time because

13:27

13:27 I can't do it myself. So I got to give

13:28

13:28 to somebody, right? How much of that

13:30

13:30 information is somebody going to save?

13:31

13:31 So

13:33

13:33 >> it's you know when we sign those

13:34

13:34 licensing agreements, we give stuff

13:35

13:35 away. So um man, I'm I'm again I'm not

13:38

13:38 going to buy the equipment to do it. So

13:39

13:39 I got to figure out what I'm going to do

13:41

13:41 um at the end of the day. So, what do I

13:44

13:44 do? Um, but this is how this after the

13:46

13:46 crash is going. And this whiskey is

13:49

13:49 actually tasting a lot better. Thanks

13:50

13:50 for thanks for talking this out with me,

13:52

13:52 Sean. Thanks for everybody listening to

13:54

13:54 this. [laughter]

13:55

13:55 If you have any advice, I'm always up

13:57

13:57 for listen to to your advice or what I

13:59

13:59 should do with this. And [snorts]

14:00

14:00 >> apparently these drives are good for

14:02

14:02 about a year to five years if you store

14:04

14:04 it somewhere nice and so it's not going

14:05

14:05 to be gone gone. I just have to make a

14:07

14:07 decision on where I send it, who I send

14:08

14:08 it to, and how the proper, you know, how

14:11

14:11 how my personal stuff is taken care of

14:14

14:14 because strangers will be looking at it

14:15

14:15 and, you know, I guess we'll find out.

14:18

14:18 Hey, the story continues. We'll wait on

14:20

14:20 that and see what Joshua does. Uh, but

14:22

14:22 buddy, uh, before we move on to the chat

14:24

14:24 with the section, hey, we are doing, uh,

14:27

14:27 sorry for the scare, uh, 31 days of

14:30

14:30 handdrawn Halloween art. And that is

14:33

14:33 started already, Joshua. That is

14:34

14:34 started. And uh it's going pretty well.

14:37

14:37 Uh I think by the time people have seen

14:39

14:39 or by the time this [clears throat]

14:40

14:40 episode comes out uh they will have seen

14:42

14:42 at least six of them. I think this comes

14:44

14:44 out October 6th. Did you say that

14:45

14:45 before?

14:46

14:46 >> October 6th. Yeah.

14:46

14:46 >> Okay. Yeah. So they'll they'll have seen

14:48

14:48 six of the artworks. So if you wouldn't

14:50

14:50 mind, buddy, let's let's go ahead and go

14:52

14:52 through the six artworks. And for

14:54

14:54 Joshua, because we're recording these uh

14:56

14:56 a little bit before everything gets

14:58

14:58 released. Uh Joshua is going to have the

14:59

14:59 the the lovely event of uh seeing this

15:02

15:02 art before everybody else gets to see

15:04

15:04 the art. So buddy, I hope you're ready

15:06

15:06 for that. Um, and then uh we'll kind of

15:08

15:08 just go from there and then we can

15:10

15:10 [clears throat] just have Joshua show

15:11

15:11 off his amazing talented out looking for

15:15

15:15 yours is going to be last. Yours is like

15:17

15:17 the the weenie at the end, you know. Uh

15:19

15:19 so I'm going to go ahead and share my

15:20

15:20 screen with Joshua and Mia just go ahead

15:21

15:21 and cut the images and you don't need to

15:23

15:23 do all this fun [ __ ] Uh but buddy, here

15:25

15:25 you go. I'm just showing you with you

15:27

15:27 with the uh drive here. So let's start

15:31

15:31 on day one, which is the one everybody's

15:32

15:32 seen already. uh which is the tiny

15:35

15:35 witch. So, here it is, buddy. This is

15:36

15:36 the uh the tiny witch. I know you saw

15:39

15:39 this one. Um look at that. Look, that's

15:41

15:41 cool.

15:42

15:42 >> Little tiny witch right there.

15:43

15:43 >> So, there's that one. Uh

15:45

15:45 >> a postcard. That's easily you can make

15:46

15:46 that, you know.

15:47

15:47 >> Oh, yeah. For sure. For sure. Uh day two

15:49

15:49 was called Ghost Picnic. And this is

15:51

15:51 what it looks like. There. It's right

15:52

15:52 there. Uh you can really tell it was a

15:54

15:54 handdrawn, you know. It's a [laughter]

15:56

15:56 It's not uh

15:58

15:58 >> not amazing. Uh clearly, you know, I'm

16:02

16:02 just noodling these things, man. Uh

16:04

16:04 that's day seven. Don't worry about that

16:06

16:06 one. Uh this week, where's day three at?

16:09

16:09 This is day three right here. It's a

16:10

16:10 little pumpkin house. Look at that

16:13

16:13 beautiful pumpkin house.

16:14

16:14 >> Yeah.

16:15

16:15 >> Uh day four is Bat Bakery. So, here is

16:19

16:19 Bat Bakery. There it is. Look at that.

16:21

16:21 Look at Bat Bakery. Look at this.

16:22

16:22 >> Wonderful. Now, I want to I want to

16:24

16:24 start

16:26

16:26 >> I want to start by saying

16:28

16:28 >> I started working a lot with shadowing.

16:30

16:30 So, I every time I do one of these

16:32

16:32 challenges, um I've been doing these

16:35

16:35 ones for a few years now, but this is

16:36

16:36 one that we're we're curating, which

16:39

16:39 makes me happy. Um but ever since I've

16:41

16:41 been doing these challenges, I've tried

16:42

16:42 to like evolve what I've been doing. Uh,

16:45

16:45 and this one I really wanted to do a lot

16:47

16:47 more shadows and a lot more use of like

16:50

16:50 different colors when it comes to doing

16:52

16:52 shadowing and stuff and like highlights

16:54

16:54 and stuff. So, you'll see that a lot

16:55

16:55 more as we get through more of these

16:57

16:57 ones. Uh, but that was day four. I

16:59

16:59 believe this is day five. Yep. Day five.

17:02

17:02 This is black hat magic.

17:04

17:04 >> Can't wait.

17:05

17:05 >> Do you have a day six? Because mine was

17:07

17:07 supposed to be day six.

17:09

17:09 >> Yeah, I got a day six. Okay, you got a

17:10

17:10 day six. Okay, cool. Yeah, I got a day

17:12

17:12 six. Don't worry. It's in here. Okay.

17:14

17:14 >> Yeah. So, that's day five. Uh, and then

17:18

17:18 this, uh, actually the day six is this

17:20

17:20 one right here. Candy candy monster is

17:22

17:22 day six. All right.

17:24

17:24 >> Honestly, this is one of my favorite

17:26

17:26 ones. Uh, because I love that he's a

17:28

17:28 little chocolate bar and he's a [ __ ]

17:30

17:30 He just has his little candy corn, guys.

17:32

17:32 You'll notice the candy corn uh starts

17:35

17:35 to make a stronger appearance in all the

17:36

17:36 later artworks that I do. Uh, so, but

17:39

17:39 yes, this would be good on like a stamp,

17:41

17:41 you know, little stamp card. That's day

17:43

17:43 six. And then just because everybody's

17:45

17:45 watching this episode and you've already

17:47

17:47 seen it, uh here it is. This is going to

17:49

17:49 be day seven, which is going to be the

17:51

17:51 mushroom witch. And there it is. This

17:54

17:54 one I'm not so proud of, but you know,

17:56

17:56 just like every one of your kids, you

17:57

17:57 can't say that you don't love them. So,

18:00

18:00 hello. Here he is. And there he is.

18:04

18:04 There you go, buddy. So, I'm still I'm

18:06

18:06 still pushing these out. I'm still uh

18:08

18:08 drawing them. I'm not done yet. I think

18:10

18:10 I'm I think I'm only up to like day 15

18:13

18:13 or whatever. So, I'm I'm I'm kind of

18:15

18:15 lacking right now and I'm I'm running

18:17

18:17 out of steam real quick, which is what I

18:20

18:20 remember happening to me uh when I first

18:22

18:22 started doing these ones years back. So,

18:24

18:24 uh Joshua, now that I've shown you all

18:26

18:26 mine, uh let me see yours.

18:28

18:28 >> Okay, hold on. Hold on. Can I Can I see

18:30

18:30 your day six again? Could just

18:32

18:32 >> No, I already [ __ ] closed it.

18:33

18:33 >> Okay. Okay, it's fine. It's fine. Okay.

18:34

18:34 Well, Mia, whatever. Just

18:36

18:36 >> Yeah, Mia, put it there. It is just

18:38

18:38 here. You know, if if uh if you're new

18:41

18:41 to the channel, a while ago, me and Sean

18:43

18:43 did this like uh what? We create

18:45

18:45 monsters and we had a fight, right? We

18:47

18:47 had this fight and there was this battle

18:49

18:49 for [snorts] points and and there was

18:50

18:50 like this whole thing that went down,

18:52

18:52 right? I kind of feel like we got to do

18:54

18:54 this with the artwork. I feel like we

18:56

18:56 got to put your artwork

18:57

18:57 >> against mine.

18:59

18:59 >> Okay.

18:59

18:59 >> And uh we got we got to have a maybe

19:02

19:02 >> I guess it depends on if your artwork is

19:04

19:04 actually artwork. So, you still haven't

19:06

19:06 said if you've drawn this or if you've

19:09

19:09 created this with AI, which is the

19:10

19:10 number one rule you can't do. So, I'm

19:12

19:12 ready.

19:13

19:13 >> You're getting ahead of yourself. You're

19:14

19:14 putting the cart before the horse. What

19:16

19:16 you're doing right now, you're you're

19:18

19:18 assuming that this guy cannot just draw.

19:21

19:21 Okay?

19:22

19:22 >> And my artwork, I'm going to put it out

19:24

19:24 there. If you're just listening, you

19:26

19:26 may, this is important. This is really

19:27

19:27 important. You may want to just come

19:29

19:29 look for this part. It's like what 20

19:30

19:30 minutes in or whatever. Look over cuz

19:32

19:32 you have got

19:34

19:34 >> spent a lot of time on this. You got to

19:36

19:36 remember my my computer crashed. I had

19:38

19:38 every resource at my disposable to

19:41

19:41 create this magical and this will end up

19:44

19:44 in some museum. I promise. Okay.

19:47

19:47 >> So, without further ado, Sean, I hope

19:49

19:49 you're ready for this because this is

19:51

19:51 going to be special.

19:52

19:52 >> All right.

19:55

19:55 That's beautiful.

19:57

19:57 >> It's beautiful, buddy.

19:58

19:58 >> It's beautiful. Okay. So, this is your

19:60

19:60 uh this is your uh candy monster for

20:02

20:02 days.

20:03

20:03 >> This is this is my candy monster. This

20:05

20:05 is my monster.

20:07

20:07 >> Handdrawn. Okay. You know,

20:09

20:09 >> clearly I don't know. [laughter] Like,

20:11

20:11 you know what?

20:12

20:12 >> I don't know if you can tell. I don't

20:14

20:14 know if you can tell it's

20:15

20:15 >> [ __ ] beautiful, buddy. I I appreciate

20:17

20:17 the fact that it's handdrawn. Um I love

20:20

20:20 the use of contrast colors here. Uh your

20:23

20:23 grayed out night sky, I presume. Is that

20:26

20:26 Am I being too presumptuous on that one?

20:28

20:28 I know you're a nice guy. This is

20:30

20:30 supposed to take you wherever you want

20:31

20:31 to go.

20:32

20:32 >> I love I love the fact that he looks

20:33

20:33 some like some type of road runner. Uh

20:36

20:36 or is that some some type of hat? Is

20:38

20:38 that a hat on his head?

20:40

20:40 >> Yes, that that would be a hat. Yes.

20:42

20:42 >> Okay. He's giving me He's giving me hat

20:44

20:44 vi. Okay. Getting the hat vibes. Uh is

20:46

20:46 that also the Freddy Mercury like uh

20:49

20:49 lightning bolt? Is that what that is?

20:50

20:50 >> I have no idea. It was a shape, you

20:52

20:52 know. I just created a shape.

20:54

20:54 >> It's It's nice. Uh what what do you Who

20:57

20:57 is this? What do you want to call this?

20:59

20:59 >> Uh there it doesn't have a name. This

21:00

21:00 was supposed to be you gave me a task.

21:03

21:03 You gave me a chore. You know, just like

21:05

21:05 washing the dishes, whatever you got to

21:06

21:06 do. You gave me a chore to create an

21:09

21:09 original piece of art. Get away from AI.

21:11

21:11 >> Yep.

21:12

21:12 >> And let's make something. And [laughter]

21:14

21:14 >> again, this is the after the crash. I

21:16

21:16 have no tools. I literally have no

21:18

21:18 programs to draw. I have nothing.

21:20

21:20 >> I love You know what? Are you going to

21:22

21:22 do Are you going to do the same style

21:23

21:23 for next week? Cuz I would approve of

21:25

21:25 that. I think I think this is your new

21:27

21:27 art style, buddy. It's beautiful.

21:29

21:29 >> Honestly, I was going to [ __ ] on you

21:30

21:30 harder, but I can't because this is

21:33

21:33 >> for you. This is great. This is great.

21:36

21:36 All right, I approve, buddy. I can't

21:39

21:39 wait to see next week's. So, thank you,

21:42

21:42 my guy. Thank you for following the

21:43

21:43 prompt and [ __ ] going at it

21:46

21:46 fullheartedly. I know it was a tough

21:48

21:48 week for you. Um,

21:49

21:49 >> yeah,

21:50

21:50 >> but you know who else is not having a

21:51

21:51 tough week, buddy?

21:52

21:52 >> Know who? Okay, it's here.

21:55

21:55 Let's head on over to the chat with us

21:56

21:56 section, then we can talk about it.

21:58

21:58 [snorts] So, if you are new here, hello,

21:60

21:60 welcome. We are Sean and Joshua. We are

22:02

22:02 your two new best [clears throat]

22:02

22:02 friends. Uh, and the chat with the

22:04

22:04 section is the are the topics that we're

22:06

22:06 going to talk about for the week. And

22:08

22:08 they are as followed. Uh, number one,

22:10

22:10 three golden laces,

22:12

22:12 number two, candy crushing dreams, and

22:17

22:17 last but not least, uh, trickor treat.

22:19

22:19 Just a simple trick or treat. So,

22:22

22:22 >> number one, buddy, three golden laces.

22:24

22:24 This is just going to be a quick little

22:26

22:26 sports talk because I feel like we have

22:28

22:28 to talk a little bit of football

22:29

22:29 sporting, uh, American football for

22:31

22:31 those of you overseas. Uh, Joshua, we

22:35

22:35 are two different spectrums of fans on

22:37

22:37 this one. Uh, you tend to not watch

22:40

22:40 football religiously and I tend to watch

22:42

22:42 football as my Sunday uh, religion. So,

22:46

22:46 with that being said, buddy, two of our

22:49

22:49 favorite teams are currently 3

22:52

22:52 [clears throat] and 0, which in the

22:55

22:55 football times that we live in is kind

22:58

22:58 of a big deal at the moment.

22:60

22:60 >> Uh, considering that your team, the Las

23:02

23:02 Vegas Raiders, uh, and my team, the San

23:05

23:05 Francisco 49ers, uh, hardly ever get to

23:09

23:09 be 3 and 0. It's been a very long time

23:12

23:12 for both teams. your team more than my

23:14

23:14 team, but hey, we won't talk about that.

23:15

23:15 Uh, so I just wanted your take on how

23:17

23:17 you're feeling right now about the

23:18

23:18 season considering that you're in one of

23:21

23:21 like the last like six or seven teams uh

23:24

23:24 to be 3 and 0.

23:26

23:26 >> Okay. So, I I'm not sure if by the time

23:28

23:28 this comes out, we will still be 3 and

23:30

23:30 0. I you know, because

23:33

23:33 >> at the time of recording, we were three

23:34

23:34 and 0. So, just by the time Yeah,

23:36

23:36 exactly. So, this game again is going to

23:38

23:38 happen or has happened already. And if I

23:40

23:40 could make any kind of prediction, man,

23:43

23:43 we play the Chiefs or we did play the

23:45

23:45 Chiefs and I'm going to say it was a

23:47

23:47 great game

23:48

23:48 >> all the way up until the ending. I'm not

23:50

23:50 going to tell you how it went,

23:51

23:51 [laughter]

23:52

23:52 but I love that. I love that. It was

23:54

23:54 great all the way until the ending. You

23:57

23:57 know, there was there was a big tug and

23:58

23:58 you know, there was a mad rush. There's

24:01

24:01 a lot going on. You know, there's flags

24:02

24:02 thrown. You know, people getting hurt.

24:04

24:04 Just stuff happening.

24:06

24:06 >> Somebody got hurt.

24:07

24:07 >> A ball got dropped somewhere another,

24:09

24:09 you know. People got yelled at. I don't

24:12

24:12 know. People might not even have jobs

24:13

24:13 anymore after this one. But,

24:15

24:15 >> you know, for both teams, I think this

24:18

24:18 was a good fight. They learned a lot

24:20

24:20 from each other. And next time around,

24:22

24:22 you know, we'll see what happens. You

24:24

24:24 know, it could be it could go 50/50 the

24:27

24:27 next time. You know, I'm just saying.

24:28

24:28 >> I love this. I love this. Spoken like a

24:30

24:30 true uh true fan, you know. Love it.

24:33

24:33 >> Uh but hey, win, lose, draw, uh natural

24:37

24:37 disaster. you know, you got to pick a

24:38

24:38 team and mine is the silver and black at

24:41

24:41 the end of the day and love me or hate

24:44

24:44 me for it. Um, that's that's my team and

24:47

24:47 uh we'll see how the rest season goes.

24:49

24:49 Uh, injury bearing, let's you know, so

24:52

24:52 yeah,

24:53

24:53 >> I mean, I could say the same thing on

24:54

24:54 this end over here. Uh, injurybearing,

24:56

24:56 you know, uh, let's try to stay healthy

24:59

24:59 this entire [ __ ] season. Uh, but I

25:01

25:01 wouldn't put it past anybody. But yeah,

25:03

25:03 if we're if we're not three and 0 after

25:04

25:04 the end of this episode, uh, then you

25:06

25:06 know what? I don't apologize because the

25:08

25:08 3 and 0 ride has been really really

25:09

25:09 [ __ ] fun. So, I'm very happy, buddy,

25:12

25:12 for your team and very happy for my

25:13

25:13 team. Uh, it's made watching football a

25:16

25:16 little bit more interesting, you know.

25:18

25:18 So, there's that. There you go. Anything

25:20

25:20 else you want to say about football,

25:22

25:22 buddy?

25:22

25:22 >> Yeah, I I just want to say I don't I

25:23

25:23 don't think I you know, it's been going

25:24

25:24 on for a number of years when we talk

25:26

25:26 about platforms. I find it I find it a

25:29

25:29 gross misuse of power when you have to

25:32

25:32 subscribe to like four different

25:34

25:34 platforms to watch the games that you

25:37

25:37 want to watch.

25:38

25:38 >> Um I mean this could apply to movies or

25:41

25:41 whatever shows, whatever else you Apple

25:42

25:42 TV, you know, just different things,

25:44

25:44 right? We love all platforms, but when

25:46

25:46 you have to subscribe to like four

25:48

25:48 different ones to watch

25:50

25:50 >> or pay an an outrageous amount of a

25:52

25:52 single platform just for one season, got

25:55

25:55 to pay like $400 for a [ __ ] you

25:57

25:57 know, 300, whatever it is.

25:58

25:58 >> Yeah, dude. It's [ __ ] wild.

25:59

25:59 >> I think it just takes it out of the the

26:02

26:02 fans hands

26:03

26:03 >> and puts money in the pockets of of

26:05

26:05 these um these giant platforms. Um so, I

26:09

26:09 don't know. And that's the thing is like

26:10

26:10 if you're paying for that much money for

26:11

26:11 a platform, are you even going to like

26:13

26:13 take the time to go to the game because

26:15

26:15 watching it on TV is so expensive

26:16

26:16 anyways.

26:17

26:17 >> So to stay home, yeah,

26:19

26:19 >> might as well stay home, right? Like the

26:20

26:20 tickets are outrageous to to watch it on

26:24

26:24 certain platforms outrageous.

26:26

26:26 >> It it just it kind of has our hands as

26:28

26:28 fans. It's kind of a bummer. Um I I

26:31

26:31 don't know how you fix it, but players

26:33

26:33 are making a lot of money. Organizations

26:35

26:35 are making a lot of money. the guys, the

26:37

26:37 people who just love the game are

26:39

26:39 struggling a little bit. You know,

26:41

26:41 >> I I think the way that you fix that is

26:43

26:43 the way that we had

26:45

26:45 >> uh Do you remember when streaming Do you

26:47

26:47 remember when streaming services just

26:49

26:49 started coming out?

26:51

26:51 >> Remember those days?

26:52

26:52 >> Yeah. Yeah. I was I do actually. I do.

26:55

26:55 This guy can actually say that.

26:57

26:57 >> He can. Uh but so when they first

26:60

27:00 started coming out, everybody had their

27:02

27:02 own network, right? Everybody had their

27:05

27:05 own platform, right?

27:07

27:07 >> I think in order to fix that, you have

27:10

27:10 to have the ability for every team to be

27:15

27:15 a subscription, right? So, let's say if

27:18

27:18 every team had their own subscription,

27:20

27:20 you were locked into that point, right?

27:22

27:22 Because then you can just subscribe to I

27:24

27:24 want to just watch all of the Warrior

27:26

27:26 games and that's the only games I want

27:28

27:28 to watch, right? I want to watch whoever

27:29

27:29 they're playing. I want to watch them

27:31

27:31 when they go to the playoffs or if they

27:32

27:32 don't go to the playoffs, right? That's

27:33

27:33 the one team I want to watch. I think

27:36

27:36 that's the only way you fix it because I

27:38

27:38 think what's happening right now is

27:39

27:39 because the league has all these

27:41

27:41 different hands in all these different

27:43

27:43 areas like Amazon Prime, YouTube TV,

27:46

27:46 right? There's too many hands in the pot

27:48

27:48 right now and it's causing too much

27:50

27:50 friction. And I think the way you

27:52

27:52 separate all that is you just give the

27:54

27:54 teams their rights to do their own

27:56

27:56 streaming. And granted, that might [ __ ]

27:58

27:58 a lot of people over, right? Because

27:60

27:60 maybe you want to watch everybody,

28:01

28:01 right? then I don't know, maybe just

28:03

28:03 have the NFL just have one thing, right?

28:05

28:05 And you subscribe to that. But I think

28:08

28:08 that's the only way you could probably

28:09

28:09 fix it is if you just give the teams the

28:10

28:10 ability to just stream their games

28:13

28:13 sololy, you know, solo. So just have

28:16

28:16 them

28:18

28:18 >> or just do what most people who don't

28:19

28:19 have, you know, or put their money else,

28:21

28:21 you just stream it pirate, you pirate,

28:23

28:23 you pirate the damn thing.

28:24

28:24 >> Sail the seven seas, baby. I mean,

28:26

28:26 that's the easiest answer, right? I

28:28

28:28 mean, if it's not if digital isn't

28:30

28:30 owning, then pirating isn't stealing,

28:32

28:32 right? You can make that argument all

28:33

28:33 [ __ ] day and I'll stand on that ship.

28:36

28:36 >> So,

28:36

28:36 >> say that again. What was that? What was

28:37

28:37 that quote you just said? What did you

28:38

28:38 say?

28:38

28:38 >> Oh, it's a very common quote, buddy.

28:40

28:40 >> Is it really? Say it again. If digital

28:42

28:42 isn't owning, then pirating pirating

28:44

28:44 isn't stealing.

28:45

28:45 >> You [ __ ] it up the second time. Never

28:46

28:46 mind. Get cut that up. Yeah.

28:48

28:48 >> All right. I got it.

28:50

28:50 >> Anyways, I think that's how you would

28:52

28:52 fix it. I don't know. I'm not a wizard,

28:54

28:54 Harry, so I can't tell you. Yeah, I'm

28:56

28:56 just a guy on a podcast talking to my

28:58

28:58 best friend.

28:58

28:58 >> You're full of love.

28:60

28:60 >> Damn.

29:00

29:00 >> I just want to give him kisses and [ __ ]

29:02

29:02 Just want to [ __ ] in his mouth. Anyways,

29:04

29:04 uh buddy, let's move on. Let's do uh

29:06

29:06 shall we do a AI song before we head on

29:09

29:09 over to Candy Crushing Dreams? Really

29:10

29:10 get us in the spirit, you know.

29:12

29:12 >> Hey, guess what? You You have the reigns

29:14

29:14 for the month of October.

29:16

29:16 >> And I I love this. I I I I actually I

29:20

29:20 own a record player and I shut the lid

29:22

29:22 on it. I'm going to let it get dusty.

29:25

29:25 Um, I bought a brand new pen so I can

29:27

29:27 write some stuff myself. Um, so I'm

29:30

29:30 gonna use this month to to sit back, be

29:33

29:33 inspired by the people around me while

29:36

29:36 you grind it out for the month of

29:38

29:38 October. Can you give us some quarters

29:40

29:40 for the jukebox?

29:41

29:41 >> Yeah, dude. Yeah. So,

29:42

29:42 >> and all of us,

29:43

29:43 >> I will go ahead and I'll we'll play a

29:45

29:45 little AI song here. Um, I'm

29:47

29:47 [clears throat] going to preface this by

29:48

29:48 saying this that every time I do these,

29:50

29:50 uh, I write the lyrics to all of these

29:52

29:52 songs that I'm going to play for you

29:53

29:53 guys. I just let AI use it to make the

29:57

29:57 music and to add my lyrics into there.

29:59

29:59 Right? So, if there's anything that

30:02

30:02 you're vibing with uh lyric-wise, just

30:04

30:04 know that it was written by a human

30:06

30:06 musically created by AI, right? So, just

30:08

30:08 get over it, right? Let it be a thing.

30:10

30:10 Sit there, relax, enjoy. Um, but this

30:13

30:13 one, buddy, I'm doing a bunch of

30:15

30:15 different genres and I didn't know where

30:17

30:17 I want wanted to start. So, I'm gonna

30:20

30:20 start with something that is familiar

30:22

30:22 and something that I'm pretty good at

30:24

30:24 writing for. So, I'll go ahead and share

30:26

30:26 my screen with Josh for the people

30:27

30:27 watching. Just keep on watching. If

30:29

30:29 you're listening, just keep on listening

30:30

30:30 or head on over to Sorry for Little and

30:32

30:32 you can listen and watch. Uh, but this

30:35

30:35 song is called October Wake Me Up and

30:38

30:38 buddy, here we go. Enjoy.

30:49

30:49 Falling falling falling.

30:53

30:53 [music]

30:54

30:54 It's over. Over over. Spin. Spin. Spin.

30:58

30:58 [music]

31:00

31:00 Leaves on the ground. [music]

31:05

31:05 I've been asleep.

31:10

31:10 Waiting for October.

31:13

31:13 [music]

31:15

31:15 Summer to leave. Spin, spin, spin. Here

31:20

31:20 we go again. [music]

31:40

31:40 I've been waiting all year for this

31:42

31:42 [music] time and place. Crunchy fall

31:44

31:44 leaves in autumn space. There's a chill

31:46

31:46 in the morning and gold [music] in the

31:48

31:48 trees. A whisper through the window

31:50

31:50 calling out to me. The sky is turning

31:52

31:52 amber. The sun is getting shy. Little

31:54

31:54 bits [music] of summer floating through

31:55

31:55 the sky.

31:59

31:59 [music]

31:60

31:60 Where have you been?

32:04

32:04 My old familiar friend. [music]

32:08

32:08 I've been counting down the days to feel

32:12

32:12 this way. [singing]

32:19

32:19 [music]

32:21

32:21 Spin. Let the whole world turn. I've

32:25

32:25 been [music] waiting for the colors and

32:28

32:28 the quiet to return.

32:30

32:30 Falling, [music] falling, falling like

32:33

32:33 the summer.

32:34

32:34 October. When you [music] find me, I

32:37

32:37 feel like myself again. [music]

32:43

32:43 October's calling.

32:46

32:46 Falling. I [music] can hear her calling.

32:51

32:51 October. [music]

32:54

32:54 October.

32:60

32:60 Pumpkins on the [music] doorstep, paper

33:02

33:02 ghosts up on the wall. The houses start

33:06

33:06 to whisper as [singing] the daylight

33:08

33:08 starts to fall. I take the long way home

33:11

33:11 now. And the street [music] lights start

33:13

33:13 to glow. Watching all the leaves spin

33:15

33:15 circles, circles like [music] they've

33:17

33:17 got nowhere to go. But I got a straight

33:20

33:20 path to you.

33:22

33:22 And I'm never letting go. Spin, spin,

33:25

33:25 spinning. Round and round again. Fall,

33:30

33:30 [music] fall, falling. Here we go again.

33:34

33:34 Spin, spin, spin. Let the whole world

33:37

33:37 turn. [music] I've been waiting for the

33:40

33:40 colors and the quiet to return. [music]

33:44

33:44 Fall.

33:46

33:46 Let the summer end. October. When you

33:49

33:49 find me, I feel like myself again.

33:54

33:54 [music] Falling.

33:56

33:56 October's calling.

34:00

34:00 I can hear her calling. [music]

34:04

34:04 October.

34:11

34:11 I've [music] been waiting all year

34:16

34:16 to fall in love again.

34:20

34:20 >> [music]

34:26

34:26 >> All right, buddy. There you go. How did

34:28

34:28 you feel about that song?

34:31

34:31 >> I think I feel like that song, it had a

34:34

34:34 nice rhythm, had a nice flow. It gave me

34:37

34:37 like like lullabi vibes, but it didn't

34:40

34:40 make me want to go to sleep, you know?

34:42

34:42 Okay. It did like it didn't really put

34:44

34:44 me to bed, you know?

34:46

34:46 >> So, it was fun enough. It had a groove

34:48

34:48 to it. Yeah. I sit back and drive to

34:50

34:50 that on a nice open night sky with some

34:53

34:53 stars, a full moon, just vibing, you

34:55

34:55 know.

34:55

34:55 >> It's like the It's the perfect song I've

34:57

34:57 discovered for the start of October,

35:01

35:01 right? This is the song that you put on

35:03

35:03 when you are in a sunset, uh, early

35:07

35:07 autumn sunset, right? And you're just

35:09

35:09 sitting there, maybe with your

35:11

35:11 girlfriend, maybe with your dog, maybe

35:13

35:13 with your cat, uh, maybe a velociaptor,

35:16

35:16 right? you're just sitting in the car

35:17

35:17 and you're just hitting those streets,

35:19

35:19 right? And it's just like you're you're

35:20

35:20 putting summer to bed, but at the same

35:23

35:23 time, you're you're waking up October,

35:25

35:25 you know? And I think that's the idea,

35:27

35:27 right? Is you're summer's going to bed,

35:29

35:29 you're bringing out your mistress, and

35:31

35:31 you're [ __ ] on the couch.

35:34

35:34 I [laughter] mean, hey, who doesn't want

35:36

35:36 to do that? Yeah, that was that's

35:38

35:38 knocking on October's door. And you know

35:39

35:39 what's also nice about this real quick

35:41

35:41 is [snorts] I like the fact that you

35:43

35:43 came into the new month not screaming

35:45

35:45 into the microphone cuz I know I left

35:47

35:47 last month screaming into the microphone

35:49

35:49 with everything that I had going on.

35:51

35:51 >> I was angry like I I was kicking and

35:54

35:54 stomping and

35:55

35:55 >> maybe that's what did it. Maybe that's

35:56

35:56 what broke your computer is the computer

35:58

35:58 couldn't handle it.

35:59

35:59 >> I slammed the door behind me as I went

36:00

36:00 out and you just you kind of reminded me

36:02

36:02 you don't got to yell,

36:04

36:04 >> you know, let's let's have a good time

36:06

36:06 and uh you know waiting for that

36:08

36:08 mistress. Yeah.

36:10

36:10 >> Yeah. There [laughter] you go.

36:11

36:11 >> All right. Let's move on over to uh

36:14

36:14 Candy Crushing Dreams, buddy.

36:16

36:16 >> Okay.

36:16

36:16 >> Candy Crushing Dreams. What is this

36:17

36:17 about? What do you got? What? Okay. So,

36:20

36:20 you know, we everybody knows that we're

36:22

36:22 going into the season where Candy just

36:24

36:24 starts hitting the shelves and and we're

36:26

36:26 kind of like, [ __ ] you know? So, a

36:28

36:28 little a little part of me, I had to

36:30

36:30 look this up because I'm like, you know

36:31

36:31 what? How much did candy actually cost

36:35

36:35 back in like 80s? Are you still hooked

36:38

36:38 on your spending of candy,

36:40

36:40 >> dude? I'm I'm stuck on it. I'm stuck on

36:42

36:42 it. So, I just I you know, because

36:45

36:45 here's the thing, dude. Like, some of

36:46

36:46 I've been in in my feed right now, my

36:48

36:48 Instagram, there's a whole lot of like

36:50

36:50 '9s nostalgia. Like, there's like people

36:52

36:52 walking through the mall like during

36:54

36:54 Christmas and everything and families

36:56

36:56 are holding hands and there's shots of

36:57

36:57 like going to Blockbuster. Like some

36:60

36:60 people don't even know what Blockbuster

37:01

37:01 is, but like you'd go rent videos and

37:03

37:03 like there's this whole thing, right,

37:05

37:05 that kind of comes from the 80s to the

37:08

37:08 2000s. Um, and I know our audience has a

37:11

37:11 there's an age range of our audience, so

37:12

37:12 some of us can relate to how I'm feeling

37:14

37:14 about this, but because when we go out

37:17

37:17 and buy candy for the masses,

37:20

37:20 some of us can remember when candy you

37:22

37:22 just go out and buy, you could literally

37:24

37:24 give like three pieces of candy to every

37:26

37:26 kid in the neighborhood. And there was a

37:28

37:28 reason for that. And I'm going to show

37:29

37:29 you why there was a reason for that

37:31

37:31 right now because it it'll make sense.

37:33

37:33 >> Um,

37:35

37:35 >> so if you take a look at this little I I

37:37

37:37 looked this up. So

37:40

37:40 >> the prices exactly these are the prices

37:43

37:43 in the 1980s right here. So again, name

37:46

37:46 brands. These all all these are billion

37:48

37:48 dollar trillion companies. Now I know

37:49

37:49 Coco's gone up and the other ingredients

37:51

37:51 have gone up, but this is from the

37:53

37:53 prices in the 80. I know. And if you're

37:54

37:54 just listening, it's kind of hard, but

37:55

37:55 there's a visual here. Um, so in the

37:57

37:57 80s, look at these prices, Sean.

37:59

37:59 Snickers 25 cents to 35 cents. Hershey's

38:02

38:02 25 to 30 cent. Everything is within like

38:04

38:04 within like 25 to like 35 cents. Look at

38:07

38:07 this. Baby Ruth. I don't know who eats

38:09

38:09 Baby Ruth. I do sometimes, but [ __ ] If

38:11

38:11 you love that, more power to you. Um,

38:13

38:13 Kit Kat. I'm a Kit Kat fan. M&M's, Twix,

38:16

38:16 >> everything. It peaks out at 35 cents.

38:19

38:19 So, this was a time when cavities were

38:21

38:21 at its peak. dentists were making a

38:23

38:23 bunch of money because everybody was

38:25

38:25 eating sugar and everybody's having a

38:26

38:26 good time. The real sugar, mind you, not

38:28

38:28 this weird [ __ ] that giving people third

38:30

38:30 eyes and four legs nowadays. Um, the

38:33

38:33 real sugar back then, but look at the

38:34

38:34 prices now in the in the 20 in 2021

38:39

38:39 $150,

38:41

38:41 >> $2 down the line. All of these things

38:43

38:43 have significantly changed.

38:46

38:46 >> And for somebody who enjoys handing out

38:49

38:49 candy, I can't afford these prices. They

38:51

38:51 priced me out. Priced me out like

38:53

38:53 football, like games, ESPN, like all

38:55

38:55 these channels. Like, so I think this is

38:57

38:57 what's crushing and killing the candy

39:01

39:01 and killing the nostalgia of Halloween

39:04

39:04 and people going out and meeting people

39:05

39:05 and like, "Hey, man." Cuz you can meet

39:07

39:07 people just based on their costume,

39:09

39:09 dude. That's a really kick-ass costume,

39:10

39:10 you know? And you'd approach somebody

39:11

39:11 and there's a conversation, you know,

39:13

39:13 maybe trade candy. But this is the

39:16

39:16 reason people get out because of the

39:18

39:18 candy. people get around because of the

39:20

39:20 costumes. So, I just wanted to bring

39:23

39:23 this up because candy prices have gotten

39:26

39:26 crazy and you might see less and less

39:30

39:30 people knocking at your door just

39:31

39:31 because of this. I mean, and if you can

39:33

39:33 afford the candy at this prices, more

39:36

39:36 power to you. But it's very difficult, I

39:39

39:39 think, and it's getting harder and

39:40

39:40 harder for people just to to enjoy our,

39:43

39:43 you know, the festivities of what

39:44

39:44 Halloween is, handing out candy, looking

39:46

39:46 at costumes. Um, so I kind of had to

39:48

39:48 bring that back. I know we talked about

39:49

39:49 that last year or whatever, but it pops

39:51

39:51 up every year. And I I'm curious to see

39:53

39:53 next year

39:54

39:54 >> how much things have gone up as well.

39:56

39:56 >> Goes up.

39:57

39:57 >> Um, what's crazy to me is that M&M's in

40:01

40:01 that photo, uh, their highest was 275.

40:04

40:04 Is that correct? Or was it 225 was the

40:07

40:07 highest for a bag of M&M's and

40:09

40:09 everything else was like Oh, 225. Okay.

40:11

40:11 So then everything else topped out $2.

40:13

40:13 That's wild. Who's paying 225 for a bag

40:16

40:16 of M&M's now? Uh because the M&M's that

40:18

40:18 I see in the stores, the peanut M&M's,

40:20

40:20 they're like 375. It's insane. So, like,

40:24

40:24 something's wrong, buddy. The system is

40:25

40:25 broken. Uh and they're not even using

40:28

40:28 real ingredients. So, like what what do

40:30

40:30 we do?

40:30

40:30 >> Yeah. We're like cutting costs. The

40:32

40:32 ingredients are getting worse for us.

40:34

40:34 And kids just

40:35

40:35 >> It's getting more expensive.

40:36

40:36 >> Like, how does that how how does that

40:38

40:38 make sense? Let me get on a soap box

40:40

40:40 right here real quick. How does it make

40:42

40:42 sense to give us fake ingredients that

40:45

40:45 are supposedly cheaper for the company

40:46

40:46 to use but still cost the consumer more

40:51

40:51 money to purchase? Like that's some

40:54

40:54 greedy ass [ __ ] That's some greedy

40:56

40:56 [ __ ] I I agree. I I do agree. And it's

40:59

40:59 only shortening our lifespans to be

41:01

41:01 honest with you. So you're not going to

41:02

41:02 be trick-or-treat I mean okay so maybe

41:04

41:04 we should talk about this later in the

41:06

41:06 uh I'll just leave this at this but like

41:07

41:07 is there when do you stop

41:09

41:09 trick-or-treating? You know, it

41:11

41:11 [laughter] just like at whatever age he

41:13

41:13 thought trick-or-treating.

41:14

41:14 >> A man sees free candy and a man goes for

41:17

41:17 free candy. All right. There ain't no

41:19

41:19 stopping. All right. I've never stopped.

41:22

41:22 The last 50 years that I've been on this

41:24

41:24 earth, I've worn a different costume.

41:26

41:26 I've gone out there. I've knocked on the

41:27

41:27 doors.

41:28

41:28 >> All right. I've seen things, been called

41:31

41:31 some names, but I still go out there

41:33

41:33 trick-or-treating, buddy. It's the only

41:34

41:34 thing I'd live for nowadays, man.

41:36

41:36 >> Yeah. Yeah. If I saw you, that'd be I'd

41:38

41:38 be like, "Dude, that's one big

41:39

41:39 15-year-old kid, you know?"

41:40

41:40 >> Yeah. And I'd be like, "I'm just a kid.

41:43

41:43 I like candy." And I'd [ __ ] do a spin

41:47

41:47 for you or some [ __ ] you know?

41:49

41:49 >> Yeah.

41:50

41:50 >> But speaking of candy, Joshua.

41:51

41:51 >> Yeah. Yeah. What's up, dude? You got

41:53

41:53 >> Let's move on to this final topic. This

41:55

41:55 is called trickor treat. Now that we've

41:57

41:57 [ __ ] on all the candies for all their

41:58

41:58 expensive prices, we're going to go

41:59

41:59 ahead and pick our favorite candy,

42:01

42:01 buddy. Uh I was with Chad all afternoon

42:04

42:04 this week uh or all afternoon today,

42:06

42:06 sorry. And uh we made this little

42:09

42:09 another little website where you pick

42:10

42:10 things. So here we go. This is called

42:14

42:14 the Great Candy Showdown, buddy. And

42:16

42:16 what we're going to do here is you and I

42:18

42:18 are going to go through this. There's 25

42:20

42:20 rounds in order to pick a final winner.

42:22

42:22 So we're going to choose this or this,

42:24

42:24 right? This or that, right? And we're

42:26

42:26 going to see which one is our favorite.

42:28

42:28 Uh, and that'll be the official Sorry

42:29

42:29 for the delay candy for the Halloween

42:31

42:31 season of 2026. Uh, cuz I figure we'll

42:34

42:34 do this next year cuz maybe our tastes

42:36

42:36 change and it'll be curious to know. So,

42:39

42:39 with that being said, Joshua, here we

42:41

42:41 are with the first two contestants,

42:43

42:43 Starburst Original and Reese's Peanut

42:46

42:46 Butter Cups Pumpkin Edition. What do you

42:48

42:48 got? Make an argument. M. Well, so

42:51

42:51 anything I'm just going to say off the

42:52

42:52 rip that anything you put chocolate in

42:54

42:54 any of these combinations here. It's

42:56

42:56 going to be hard for me to pick anything

42:59

42:59 other than chocolate. So, I really hope

43:00

43:00 that you threw some curve balls in here.

43:02

43:02 >> Oh, buddy. There is there are some weird

43:04

43:04 ones.

43:04

43:04 >> Okay, good. Good.

43:05

43:05 >> All right. But I'm with you on this. I'm

43:07

43:07 okay with the Reese's peanut butter.

43:09

43:09 Especially the pumpkin flavor. I think

43:10

43:10 the pumpkin one I say pumpkin flavor.

43:13

43:13 It's just regular Reese's.

43:14

43:14 >> I want to try Starburst.

43:16

43:16 >> Yeah, it's I This is That's what I'm

43:17

43:17 going off of. If I would eat it right

43:19

43:19 now, that is what I'm picking. So, I'm

43:21

43:21 picking the pumpkin because I would eat

43:22

43:22 that one right now.

43:24

43:24 >> Locked in.

43:25

43:25 >> Let's go and do the next one. Uh, next

43:26

43:26 one is Milky Way versus Cookies and

43:28

43:28 Cream Hershey bar.

43:30

43:30 >> Nope. No cookies and cream. I'm going

43:32

43:32 Milky Way.

43:33

43:33 >> Cookies and cream. Okay. Uh, I do like

43:35

43:35 the milk the cookies and cream, but I

43:37

43:37 will say between the two, I'd rather

43:39

43:39 have the milk Mil Milky Way as well. So,

43:40

43:40 we'll go and do that.

43:42

43:42 Uh, next one is Reese's Peanut Butter

43:44

43:44 Cup versus grape and strawberry nerds.

43:48

43:48 >> Is that even a challenge? Now, if you

43:49

43:49 would have thrown sour nerds in there,

43:51

43:51 then it's got a chance. But you just do

43:53

43:53 regular old nerds.

43:55

43:55 >> Basic [ __ ] I got to go Reese's Peanut

43:57

43:57 Butter Cups.

43:58

43:58 >> See, I'm arguing for Nerds on this one

44:01

44:01 because I love me a good box of Nerds,

44:03

44:03 dude. Nerds is delicious. And I feel

44:05

44:05 like we already have a Reese's Peanut

44:07

44:07 Butter Cup.

44:08

44:08 >> So, are we are we splitting hairs? I'm

44:11

44:11 I'm letting you decide on this one. Do

44:12

44:12 you Do you really want the

44:14

44:14 >> chocolate? I'm going chocolate on I'm

44:15

44:15 not going nerds. No. No. They're too

44:16

44:16 small. You can choke on them. They're

44:18

44:18 They're a hazard. Nerds are a hazard.

44:20

44:20 [laughter]

44:20

44:20 >> That's what makes them good, though. You

44:22

44:22 know, it's like a little bit of danger,

44:24

44:24 right? A little bit of danger. You don't

44:25

44:25 know whether or not you're going to

44:26

44:26 survive the next box of nerds.

44:28

44:28 >> Listen, stepping on a nerd is like

44:29

44:29 stepping on a Lego. That [ __ ] hurts. Get

44:31

44:31 those things out of here, dude.

44:32

44:32 >> First of all, who's throwing their nerds

44:34

44:34 on the floor? Okay, you're an animal if

44:36

44:36 you're throwing your nerds on the floor.

44:37

44:37 >> Been thrown on the floor plenty of times

44:38

44:38 and been called a nerd. So, it's fine.

44:41

44:41 >> Fine. All right. Chocolate it is. All

44:43

44:43 right. Here we go. Two of them. Uh, we

44:45

44:45 have Warheads Extreme Sour and a Ring

44:48

44:48 Pop. Buddy, what do you choose? What do

44:49

44:49 you What do you

44:50

44:50 >> ring pop? Nope. I'm going Warheads all

44:53

44:53 the way. Take it back.

44:54

44:54 >> I'm with you. I'm with you on this one,

44:56

44:56 too. I I love me a ring pop, but dude,

44:58

44:58 after a while on a ring pop, it just

44:60

44:60 gets gross, you know? Like your saliva

45:02

45:02 from licking the ring pop just floats on

45:05

45:05 your finger and just like gets all

45:06

45:06 sticky and stuff. Ah, I don't like it.

45:09

45:09 >> And whatever floating on the air is

45:11

45:11 sticking to the ring pop. So, you know

45:12

45:12 what else is coffin? And

45:14

45:14 >> you know,

45:15

45:15 >> yeah, just a germ germ magnet is what a

45:17

45:17 ring popup is. Just your good

45:19

45:19 oldfashioned germ magnet.

45:21

45:21 >> So, I'm with you. Warheads. Let's do it.

45:23

45:23 Locking it in. All right, we got

45:25

45:25 Smarties versus Skittles. What are you

45:26

45:26 feeling, buddy? You tasting the rainbow

45:28

45:28 or you eating the chuck?

45:29

45:29 >> I mean, who who says anything? How do

45:32

45:32 those How do they name those Smarties?

45:34

45:34 Okay, there's nothing about that Smart.

45:35

45:35 It's very boring. Very basic. Very

45:38

45:38 halfass if you ask me. I'm going

45:39

45:39 Skittles.

45:40

45:40 >> Me too. I'm seconding you on that one.

45:42

45:42 I, as much as I would like a Smarty, I'm

45:44

45:44 not doing it. All right. Peanut M&M's

45:46

45:46 versus Tootsie Roll midgeties.

45:49

45:49 >> I don't know, man. Looking at that

45:50

45:50 Tootsie Roll, I picked up too many of

45:51

45:51 those in my day. Got dogs. I think I got

45:53

45:53 to go peanut M&M's. [laughter]

45:58

45:58 >> I've picked up way too many Tootsie

46:00

46:00 Rolls. Just saying.

46:02

46:02 >> I'm with you. I'm doing a peanut M&M's.

46:04

46:04 I love me a good peanut M&M. Uh, even

46:06

46:06 though they're all like no longer all

46:08

46:08 chocolate, I guess. I guess because it's

46:09

46:09 all different, but hey, there you go.

46:11

46:11 >> Okay.

46:11

46:11 >> Uh, Baby Bottle Pop versus Nestle

46:13

46:13 Crunch.

46:14

46:14 >> I mean, come on. Let's uh let's let's

46:16

46:16 all gather around and grow up. Nobody

46:18

46:18 needs to be seen a grown person sucking

46:20

46:20 on one of these goddamn baby bottles.

46:22

46:22 You know, [laughter]

46:23

46:23 let's grow up. You know,

46:26

46:26 >> we're going crunch. We got to go crunch.

46:28

46:28 >> I'm with you. Uh although I will say

46:30

46:30 that when we go to these like state

46:32

46:32 fairs or like any type of big food event

46:35

46:35 around here, uh they do have those baby

46:38

46:38 bottle drinks where they're just like

46:40

46:40 >> giant cups that are in the shape of baby

46:42

46:42 bottles that people drink out of. Those

46:43

46:43 drinks are pretty good. Uh but yeah, I'm

46:45

46:45 not doing it in a candy form again. Like

46:48

46:48 >> those flavors are very nostalgic, but

46:50

46:50 there's something about a crunch bar

46:51

46:51 that I just really enjoy more, you know?

46:54

46:54 >> Yeah. Let's grow up. Let's grow up.

46:56

46:56 >> All right, next one. Snickers versus

46:58

46:58 Airheads. I don't think this is a

46:59

46:59 competition. Definitely Snickers on this

47:01

47:01 one, buddy.

47:02

47:02 >> Absolutely. I ran right by the the

47:04

47:04 Airheads. It's not even chance.

47:05

47:05 >> There's There's no other option. Airhead

47:07

47:07 is just It's literally just taffy. Uh

47:11

47:11 that doesn't eat well. So,

47:13

47:13 >> yeah. If I was throwing candy in the

47:15

47:15 crowd, the Airheads would be hitting you

47:17

47:17 in the face and I'd be stuffing the

47:19

47:19 Snickers in my back pocket like you're

47:21

47:21 going to airhead to your head.

47:24

47:24 >> It's not Yeah,

47:25

47:25 >> Snickers. It is.

47:27

47:27 All right. Two Butterfinger one. Okay.

47:29

47:29 Weird. Uh, Butterfinger Classic or the

47:32

47:32 Butterfinger BB's. Joshua, what are you

47:35

47:35 doing?

47:35

47:35 >> I mean, you know, these butterfinger

47:37

47:37 beans.

47:37

47:37 >> No, I'm I usually pick everything but

47:40

47:40 her finger. Um, so uh [laughter]

47:45

47:45 I mean when you have options, but if you

47:47

47:47 have to pick pick, you know, I would go

47:51

47:51 the bar. No, actually the BB's are nice.

47:54

47:54 You know, they're poppable. I like

47:55

47:55 >> they're concealable. Yeah, let's let's

47:58

47:58 go BB's. Let's go BB's.

47:59

47:59 >> I'm going BB's. Yeah. Mainly because I

48:01

48:01 remember when these came out as a kid

48:03

48:03 >> and my god, ever since I choked on a

48:07

48:07 marble as a child, uh

48:09

48:09 >> to have one of these BB's uh was like a

48:13

48:13 a little like

48:15

48:15 devilish treat, you know? That's like me

48:17

48:17 saying I'm cheating death, right? And

48:19

48:19 I'm eating it. So, yeah, I'm going with

48:21

48:21 BB's on this one, too.

48:22

48:22 >> I like it. All right, last round for

48:24

48:24 this round. Uh, Jolly Ranch or Hard

48:26

48:26 Candy versus Lickormade Fun Dip. Hey,

48:31

48:31 hey, hey, hey. Come on. This This, you

48:34

48:34 know, Lickorade. Come on. Is that real?

48:36

48:36 Did you

48:36

48:36 >> Is that AI? Is that AI?

48:37

48:37 >> Fun Dip. No, this is Fun Dip, buddy.

48:39

48:39 >> You've never had fun dip?

48:41

48:41 >> No, I've never I never dipped it. I

48:42

48:42 mean, I've had fun dipping it, but I've

48:44

48:44 never had the fun dip.

48:45

48:45 >> Okay. So, then this is All right. So,

48:46

48:46 then Fun Dips are really interesting

48:48

48:48 because all it was So, you know how baby

48:50

48:50 bottle pops, you took off the top,

48:52

48:52 right? And then you would the one with

48:54

48:54 the stick. This has like

48:55

48:55 >> the white stick. The white chalky stick.

48:57

48:57 >> It's like a [ __ ] chalk. Yeah, they

48:59

48:59 they basically like try to p give you a

49:01

49:01 piece of chalk. Uh no, I'm going I will

49:04

49:04 go Jolly Rancher. I'm I'm a Jolly

49:05

49:05 Rancher fan.

49:06

49:06 >> Yeah, I'm a Jolly Rancher fan, too. This

49:08

49:08 was just an interesting concept. The Fun

49:09

49:09 Dip, you know. Uh the the problem with

49:12

49:12 the Fun Dip is that stick tasted like

49:14

49:14 buttholes. Like that was not good. And

49:16

49:16 then you had kids snorting the powder

49:17

49:17 and it was just a whole mess. So, yeah,

49:19

49:19 >> you shouldn't need an accessory to eat

49:21

49:21 candy. Just saying.

49:22

49:22 >> Yeah, you shouldn't. Yeah,

49:23

49:23 >> like this is not a two-part [ __ ]

49:25

49:25 candy. This is like

49:27

49:27 >> for sure. All right. Uh, Jolly Ranchers

49:30

49:30 locking it in.

49:31

49:31 >> Yep.

49:31

49:31 >> Here we go. Round number two. This is

49:33

49:33 two of five rounds because now we're

49:34

49:34 getting to the nitty-gritty. Uh, so now

49:37

49:37 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups uh pumpkin

49:40

49:40 edition versus uh Warheads Extreme Sour.

49:42

49:42 What are we doing?

49:43

49:43 >> All right. I have to go with an average

49:45

49:45 because I'm I'm a chocolate person and

49:46

49:46 I've actually never had the pumpkin. So,

49:49

49:49 based off of my my inexperience for the

49:52

49:52 pumpkin and I've had ton of warheads.

49:55

49:55 Let's go Reese's. Come on, give me the

49:57

49:57 pumpkin.

49:57

49:57 >> Let's do it.

49:58

49:58 >> Okay, so here here's the argument I'm

49:59

49:59 going to make for this one. The Reese's

50:01

50:01 pumpkin is a lot more pumpkin. It's more

50:05

50:05 peanut butter than it is chocolate.

50:08

50:08 Warheads, on the other hand, that is

50:10

50:10 just a different category all around.

50:12

50:12 So, I'm going to vote Warheads on this

50:13

50:13 one, buddy, because we do have the

50:14

50:14 original um Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

50:17

50:17 And if we were to battle this versus the

50:19

50:19 original peanut butter cup, I think you

50:21

50:21 would probably lean more towards the

50:22

50:22 Reese's Cup. So, I would say Warheads

50:24

50:24 would probably be my choice.

50:25

50:25 >> If that is the alternative, then yes, I

50:27

50:27 would pick the Warheads over Yes. Got

50:29

50:29 it.

50:30

50:30 >> All right. So, we're going to do War.

50:31

50:31 >> See the logic? I see your logic. It's

50:32

50:32 fine.

50:33

50:33 >> Sorry, pumpkins. I appreciate your

50:35

50:35 seasonality, but gotta pick the Warheads

50:37

50:37 on this one because now we have peanut

50:39

50:39 butter cup versus a Milky Way. That's a

50:42

50:42 tough challenge.

50:43

50:43 >> That's not even tough. What are we

50:44

50:44 tough? I mean, have you seen the

50:46

50:46 commercials where they put the little

50:47

50:47 holes in the re like how do you eat your

50:49

50:49 cups? You know, the the the the vampire

50:51

50:51 one, you know, the two little

50:52

50:52 >> Yeah. Going Reese's Milky Way. It's

50:54

50:54 cool. I might smash it up and put it in

50:56

50:56 ice cream, but at the end of the day,

50:57

50:57 I'm eating a Reese's.

50:58

50:58 >> Okay, I'm with you. I mean, I was going

51:00

51:00 to make an argument for Milky Way, but

51:02

51:02 there's just something about a Reese's

51:03

51:03 Cup that you really can't beat, right?

51:05

51:05 And it's just chocolate and peanut

51:06

51:06 butter. You're like, "Yeah, I'm for

51:08

51:08 that. Let's do it."

51:09

51:09 >> All right. Sour Patch versus original

51:11

51:11 Skittles.

51:12

51:12 >> Gosh. Again, sour tugs at my

51:14

51:14 heartstrings.

51:16

51:16 >> So, do I go with the sour or do I go

51:18

51:18 with the Skittles?

51:20

51:20 >> I need a little bit. I I mean, I don't

51:22

51:22 know. I lean into the odd. So, give me a

51:24

51:24 give me a puckered face. And uh

51:26

51:26 [laughter]

51:28

51:28 I'm sour patch. Yeah. Yeah. I'm with you

51:30

51:30 on Sour Patch. Sour Patch. Lock it in.

51:32

51:32 There you go.

51:33

51:33 >> A tough one on this one. KitKat versus

51:35

51:35 Nestle Crunch. I'm going more KitKat.

51:37

51:37 So, that's what I'm calling right now.

51:39

51:39 >> Are those mini Kit Kats? Are those

51:40

51:40 actual like a four four uh

51:43

51:43 >> Yeah, the four bars, you know?

51:44

51:44 >> Four logs in there.

51:45

51:45 >> All right, we'll go full four logs.

51:47

51:47 We'll do it.

51:47

51:47 >> Okay, I'm with you.

51:49

51:49 >> Locking it in. Oh, this one's your

51:51

51:51 favorite. Uh candy corn versus

51:53

51:53 Butterfinger BB's.

51:55

51:55 >> Uh we got to go BB's, man. Candy corn.

51:57

51:57 Yeah.

51:58

51:58 >> I feel like there's going to be like the

52:00

52:00 death of the candy corn at some point.

52:03

52:03 >> You think so? I think candy corn is too

52:05

52:05 seasonality.

52:07

52:07 >> It's too much of a seasonal staple that

52:09

52:09 it cannot be like disturbable, right?

52:12

52:12 Somebody's always going to have a candy

52:14

52:14 corn whatever, right? It's going to It

52:17

52:17 may not be this brand. It's probably

52:18

52:18 going to be some other brand. But I feel

52:20

52:20 like you can't have the Halloween season

52:22

52:22 without some type of candy corn. So, I'm

52:24

52:24 going to say that one's It's definitely

52:26

52:26 not my choice. Uh, but it's not gonna

52:28

52:28 die, you know. So, BB's it is. Locking

52:31

52:31 it in. All right. Caramel apple pops

52:34

52:34 versus Snickers. Joshua, I [ __ ] love

52:37

52:37 caramel apple pops

52:39

52:39 >> and I will die on that [ __ ] hill,

52:41

52:41 >> but

52:43

52:43 you can't have more than one or two

52:45

52:45 caramel apple pops, you know? Like,

52:47

52:47 there's just it's just it just doesn't

52:49

52:49 feel right in your tummy. A Snickers on

52:51

52:51 the other hand though, Joshua, a

52:52

52:52 Snickers, buddy,

52:56

52:56 I could eat those all [ __ ] day,

52:57

52:57 Joshua.

52:58

52:58 >> Yeah,

52:58

52:58 >> I could put a Snickers up my ass and eat

53:00

53:00 it.

53:01

53:01 >> Jesus Christ.

53:01

53:01 >> I'm going that right. I'm going that.

53:03

53:03 >> You know what's funny? Uh, fun fact with

53:05

53:05 the caramel apple pops, I usually cut

53:07

53:07 the stick off and just throw it in my

53:08

53:08 mouth and just eat it like a full Yeah.

53:11

53:11 >> Yeah. Why waste the time with the pop,

53:13

53:13 you know? Exactly. Just eat it like

53:14

53:14 that.

53:14

53:14 >> Cut the stem off. Yeah. So, Snickers for

53:16

53:16 sure.

53:16

53:16 >> I'm with you. Yeah. Snickers it is

53:18

53:18 locked in. Twix versus Jolly Ranch or

53:21

53:21 hard candy. I'm Dude, a Twix, my guy.

53:24

53:24 Twix is the way to go. [clears throat]

53:26

53:26 >> Absolutely.

53:27

53:27 >> No other choice on that. Moving on.

53:28

53:28 >> Locking it in. Yeah. Easy. All right.

53:30

53:30 Milk chocolate M&M's versus peanut

53:32

53:32 M&M's. Where is your preference, buddy?

53:36

53:36 All chocolate. I like the peanuts.

53:37

53:37 >> So, give me the Give me the peanut.

53:39

53:39 >> Okay, I'm with you. I'm with the

53:40

53:40 peanuts. I like the peanuts, too. So,

53:41

53:41 locking it in. Now, we're on to round

53:44

53:44 three of five. So, this is number three.

53:47

53:47 Joshua, Warheads versus Peanut Butter

53:49

53:49 Cups. I think I know where you're

53:50

53:50 leaning.

53:51

53:51 >> I'm assuming peanut butter cups. Give me

53:52

53:52 the cup.

53:53

53:53 >> Yep. Yeah, me too. Sour Patch versus

53:56

53:56 KitKat.

53:56

53:56 >> Uh, give me the sour.

53:58

53:58 >> Really? You're not doing a KitKat.

54:00

54:00 >> No, dude. Hey, anything. I mean, you get

54:03

54:03 more out of the sour, the patch, the

54:05

54:05 pucker, the the everything. It makes you

54:07

54:07 sweat sometimes, you know? Just it feels

54:09

54:09 good to put that sour and then the gummy

54:12

54:12 at the end, the little chew. Just the

54:14

54:14 personality of the whole experience.

54:18

54:18 >> It's not one note. It's not a one note.

54:20

54:20 >> You've made You've made a strong

54:21

54:21 argument. I'll take it. Sour Patch it

54:23

54:23 is.

54:24

54:24 >> All right. BB's versus Snickers. I think

54:26

54:26 this is where BB's dies because Snickers

54:28

54:28 is way better.

54:29

54:29 >> It becomes a choking hazard when we get

54:30

54:30 to this point. So, [laughter]

54:32

54:32 >> yeah. Exactly. Exactly. So, Snickers it

54:34

54:34 is. All right. Twix versus peanut M&M's.

54:36

54:36 Buddy, I'm going Twix on this one. I

54:38

54:38 can't like if you give me the two

54:39

54:39 options, I'm doing a Twix every time.

54:41

54:41 Uh, depending on the day, I might

54:44

54:44 actually go peanuts here. Not going to

54:46

54:46 lie.

54:47

54:47 >> That's unacceptable

54:48

54:48 >> because Twix it's like two and done,

54:50

54:50 right? Two and it's over. You don't you

54:52

54:52 don't have anything but maybe you get

54:54

54:54 two bites out of that. Three if you're

54:56

54:56 just trying to be [snorts]

54:57

54:57 >> nice to it. You know, you're coddling a

54:59

54:59 little bit. You want to talk to it

54:60

54:60 before you make it disappear. You know,

55:03

55:03 with the nut with the peanuts, you can

55:04

55:04 just pop them one at a time. You can

55:06

55:06 enjoy them individually. They can you

55:08

55:08 can make friends. And there's a whole

55:09

55:09 bag of them.

55:10

55:10 >> Give them different names.

55:12

55:12 here. Uh, let's do it by a coin flip.

55:14

55:14 I'll go ahead and share this screen with

55:15

55:15 you. Uh, heads, we'll call it Twix.

55:18

55:18 Tails, we'll call it peanut butter.

55:19

55:19 Okay.

55:20

55:20 >> Okay.

55:21

55:21 >> Work for you?

55:22

55:22 >> Yeah, absolutely. Let's do it.

55:23

55:23 >> Let's do it.

55:25

55:25 >> Give it to me.

55:25

55:25 >> Tails. All right. Yeah. Peanut butter it

55:27

55:27 is. I'm sorry. Peanuts. Peanuts it is.

55:30

55:30 >> Do we even need to? I already knew.

55:31

55:31 Already knew.

55:32

55:32 >> All right. Peanuts it is. It wins.

55:34

55:34 >> All right. Peanut butter cups versus

55:36

55:36 Sour Patch Kids now.

55:37

55:37 >> Dude, why are we still fighting over

55:38

55:38 this? Why are we still fighting? You

55:40

55:40 know

55:41

55:41 >> what are you ch You just made an

55:42

55:42 argument for sour patches. Are you

55:44

55:44 choosing Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?

55:45

55:45 >> No, I I I'm going sour.

55:48

55:48 >> Really? The man who loves chocolate is

55:50

55:50 not arguing for Reese's Peanut Butter

55:52

55:52 Cups?

55:52

55:52 >> No, because there's a variety in the

55:55

55:55 bag. There's flavor. There's dynamics. I

55:57

55:57 can close.

55:58

55:58 >> There's only one Sour Patch flavor.

55:60

55:60 There's not a whole variety.

56:02

56:02 >> There's a red one. There's a green one.

56:04

56:04 There's a blue one. You know, there

56:06

56:06 there is different flavors in that. When

56:08

56:08 you eat two cups, it's over. When you

56:12

56:12 throw three different a blue and a green

56:14

56:14 and a in your mouth, you get a whole

56:17

56:17 flavor town of experience.

56:19

56:19 >> We're flipping on it. All right. Heads

56:21

56:21 is sour patch. Tails is

56:23

56:23 >> whatever cups. Here we go.

56:25

56:25 >> This thing likes chocolate.

56:27

56:27 >> Tails.

56:28

56:28 We'll do your [ __ ] sour patches.

56:30

56:30 >> Absolutely. Did I mean, why are we

56:32

56:32 arguing over this? It already knows.

56:34

56:34 >> All right. Here's another one. Snickers

56:36

56:36 versus peanuts.

56:37

56:37 >> Okay. All right. Now you have to stick

56:38

56:38 your peanuts in it. What are you doing,

56:40

56:40 buddy?

56:40

56:40 >> Okay, here's the thing, though. Here's

56:41

56:41 the thing, though. When I bite into a

56:43

56:43 Snickers, the memories come back.

56:46

56:46 >> You know, there's a lot There's a lot

56:48

56:48 that comes with the Snickers. And

56:50

56:50 absolutely going Snickers over a choking

56:54

56:54 hazard at this point.

56:56

56:56 >> I'm with you. I'm definitely with you.

56:58

56:58 Snickers over peanut butter M&M's or

56:60

56:60 sorry.

57:00

57:00 >> Mhm.

57:01

57:01 >> Yeah.

57:01

57:01 >> They want They really want to fight.

57:03

57:03 They want to fight about this.

57:04

57:04 >> They want to fight, buddy. They want to

57:05

57:05 fight. The last two, Sour Patch versus

57:08

57:08 Snickers.

57:08

57:08 >> Can I give you a real fun fact about

57:11

57:11 this? This This is fun.

57:13

57:13 >> My mom loves

57:16

57:16 sour and my dad, God rest his soul, he's

57:20

57:20 not with us anymore. I [ __ ] he's not.

57:23

57:23 But this is funny that we ended up to

57:25

57:25 this.

57:26

57:26 >> And at the end of the day, I love my

57:28

57:28 mom, but man, that Snickers when I when

57:32

57:32 I grew up eating those things and it's a

57:34

57:34 Snickers. Sorry, mom. I gotta go with

57:36

57:36 the Snickers.

57:38

57:38 Dad, I love you. I I got I'm going

57:40

57:40 Snickers.

57:42

57:42 >> It's all about Yep.

57:43

57:43 >> If I had to choose between these two

57:45

57:45 things, I would definitely choose the

57:47

57:47 Snickers. So, that is what we're doing.

57:49

57:49 So, there you go. The champion for 2026,

57:52

57:52 sorry for the delay, is the Snickers

57:55

57:55 candy bar uh as our Halloween champion.

57:59

57:59 >> So, very, very cool. Um, I wish there

58:02

58:02 was more stats that I could show you,

58:03

58:03 but I don't think there's anything else

58:05

58:05 that I can give you. Uh, the road to

58:07

58:07 glory, it beat a whole bunch of things

58:08

58:08 here on the bottom. You can see that.

58:10

58:10 Um, some image credits and then the

58:13

58:13 little bracket on how everything matched

58:16

58:16 out. So, there you go.

58:18

58:18 Ah, Snickers takes it.

58:19

58:19 >> I love that we got to those two at the

58:21

58:21 very end. I I absolutely love that.

58:23

58:23 That's how it ended up. That's great.

58:25

58:25 Love it.

58:25

58:25 >> Yeah, man. [snorts] What a good time.

58:27

58:27 Let's go ahead and land this plane now,

58:29

58:29 buddy, before we go too long on this

58:31

58:31 episode. Let's do some fun finds, some

58:33

58:33 lucky numbers, some fortunes, and then

58:35

58:35 let's get the people out of here at a

58:36

58:36 reasonable time. So, Joshua, what do you

58:38

58:38 got for your fun finds this week?

58:40

58:40 >> We're not going to go too long, but I

58:41

58:41 need I Sean, I need you to make a

58:44

58:44 decision right now because last week I

58:47

58:47 showed off the horror Funko box. And

58:49

58:49 guess what, buddy? You need to make a

58:51

58:51 decision on which blind box I'm going to

58:54

58:54 open. All right. We just doing one or

58:56

58:56 you doing two? What are you doing?

58:57

58:57 >> Uh, okay. So, we got four weeks. I could

58:60

58:60 do two or we could wait to the final

59:02

59:02 week.

59:03

59:03 >> Okay. I'm okay with that. I like that.

59:05

59:05 >> But you have to make a decision.

59:07

59:07 >> One, two, three.

59:08

59:08 >> I want to do number four.

59:10

59:10 >> Number four is calling to me.

59:11

59:11 >> All right. So, let me go ahead and close

59:13

59:13 the image.

59:15

59:15 >> Uh, Sean, here we go. Not lying. I got

59:18

59:18 number four. Uh, again, I have not I

59:20

59:20 have not opened it. It's very very

59:22

59:22 sealed still. Um, so if you want to show

59:25

59:25 off yours while I do this or you want to

59:27

59:27 wait until I just rip.

59:28

59:28 >> No, I can show off. I got a whole bunch

59:29

59:29 of them ready. So, yeah, I'll show off

59:30

59:30 mine while you do that. Uh, so I

59:33

59:33 discovered these things recently with

59:34

59:34 the old lady and I. We were out uh when

59:36

59:36 we had a little trip back to Joshua's

59:39

59:39 hometown there. Uh, I saw these or she

59:41

59:41 sorry, the old lady saw these. She

59:43

59:43 showed me them and I was like, "Oh my

59:45

59:45 god." Because there is one in this

59:47

59:47 collection of things that I need. And

59:49

59:49 Joshua, I'll just kind of show you. I'll

59:51

59:51 show you. I have four of them in front

59:52

59:52 of me. So, I'll show you two right now.

59:54

59:54 Then you can show your Funko, then I'll

59:55

59:55 show the other two. So, what I'm

59:57

59:57 collected, what I've collected now, uh,

59:59

59:59 are these characters.

60:02

60:02 >> So, this is the Wolf Man, and you can

60:05

60:05 see here, there's a whole bunch of them,

60:07

60:07 right? And if you notice here on the

60:08

60:08 very bottom, there's a little

60:10

60:10 glow-in-the-dark section, right? This

60:13

60:13 one does not glow in the dark. So, let

60:15

60:15 me show you off. Let me show off one

60:16

60:16 that does glow in the dark here. Uh,

60:18

60:18 this is Dracula from that same series.

60:22

60:22 He's in a black box. So, there he is.

60:24

60:24 Beautiful Dracula. And he glows in the

60:26

60:26 dark. You can see his little accessory

60:28

60:28 right there. Little trick-or- treat

60:30

60:30 bags. Uh, so there's that one. And then

60:33

60:33 I'll Joshua, go ahead and let you show

60:34

60:34 yours off. And then I'll show the last

60:35

60:35 two that I have here.

60:36

60:36 >> Okay. All right. So, again, told off the

60:38

60:38 plastic. Uh, there is a tear tab right

60:41

60:41 here. If you can see on the front. This

60:42

60:42 is the first time I've ever done one of

60:43

60:43 these, by the way, everybody. Um, let's

60:45

60:45 go ahead and Oh, gosh. Is there a proper

60:48

60:48 way to tear this?

60:49

60:49 >> There you go. Yeah.

60:50

60:50 >> Okay. All right. Does the top just Oh,

60:53

60:53 wait a second.

60:55

60:55 >> Wait a second.

60:57

60:57 >> We're waiting.

60:59

60:59 >> This is what we got, buddy.

61:01

61:01 This is the one that we got right here.

61:05

61:05 >> Okay.

61:05

61:05 >> I don't know. I don't know which one

61:06

61:06 this is.

61:07

61:07 >> Um this right here. Oh, yes. This is the

61:10

61:10 uh the one up here on the top. H gosh.

61:13

61:13 Up here. This is the Annabelle.

61:16

61:16 >> Okay.

61:16

61:16 >> Check that thing out.

61:17

61:17 >> Not bad. Not a chase, but we'll take it.

61:20

61:20 Okay. I mean, hey, the chase. Hey, we

61:22

61:22 got we got we got time to go, buddy. We

61:25

61:25 got time. Uh, but there you go. That is

61:27

61:27 my fun find. And we didn't get the chase

61:28

61:28 this time, everybody. But, uh, we got a

61:30

61:30 lot more to go. Stay tuned.

61:32

61:32 >> I can't wait. Uh, speaking of a lot more

61:34

61:34 to go, buddy, let me show off these last

61:35

61:35 two. So, from that series again, there's

61:38

61:38 this one here. This is Frankenstein.

61:41

61:41 Beautiful Frankenstein. Glows in the

61:43

61:43 dark. He's wonderful. But really, the

61:45

61:45 one that I've really, really wanted

61:48

61:48 was this one, buddy. This is the

61:51

61:51 creature cuz I'm a big creature from the

61:54

61:54 Black Lagoon fan. And this is the one

61:56

61:56 that I saw on the back of the box and

61:58

61:58 was like, "Oh my god, I need to get it

62:00

62:00 because if I don't, what is the point of

62:02

62:02 all this?" So, I ended up getting all

62:04

62:04 the other ones. And I do have another

62:05

62:05 one that I'll show off next week, uh,

62:07

62:07 which is the final one for the the

62:09

62:09 Universal Monsters set, right? Um, but

62:11

62:11 dude, I was so happy to get this bad

62:13

62:13 boy. It's [ __ ] amazing and I love it.

62:16

62:16 Uh, I'm going to put them all behind me

62:18

62:18 uh next week. But there you go. Those

62:20

62:20 are all my fun finds. Uh, Joshua, let's

62:22

62:22 go ahead and land this plane. Let's do

62:23

62:23 some fortunes and then some lucky

62:25

62:25 numbers and then we'll go to bed

62:27

62:27 together.

62:28

62:28 >> Okay. Um, but did you said you were

62:30

62:30 going to get the last duck? I think you

62:31

62:31 said that last week. Did you get the

62:32

62:32 duck?

62:33

62:33 >> Oh, no. It hasn't showed up yet. It's

62:34

62:34 been shipped. Just It didn't show up

62:36

62:36 yet. So,

62:37

62:37 >> somebody might have been listening to

62:38

62:38 that that you said that you said you got

62:40

62:40 the last duck of the set and I just

62:41

62:41 wanted to see if that actually was a

62:42

62:42 [ __ ] thing. Okay. Trying to get his

62:44

62:44 duck yet. All right. Um, so what?

62:46

62:46 Fortunes. Is that where this is where

62:47

62:47 we're at?

62:47

62:47 >> Let's do some fortunes.

62:48

62:48 >> All right. Um, gosh,

62:51

62:51 and how many episodes later? 154. We got

62:54

62:54 the misfortunes. We got the dirty dozen.

62:56

62:56 Sean, uh, which are we pulling from?

62:58

62:58 What do you want to do?

62:60

62:60 >> Uh, let's do let's do dirty this week.

63:03

63:03 >> Dirty. We did last week. So, we'll do

63:05

63:05 dirty.

63:05

63:05 >> All right, Misfortunes. Thank you for

63:07

63:07 the um these nice little cookies. We

63:10

63:10 enjoy these a lot.

63:12

63:12 And uh let's see what we got this uh for

63:14

63:14 this week's episode.

63:17

63:17 Uh let's go here. Let's pop this open

63:19

63:19 here.

63:21

63:21 All right. Crack that.

63:24

63:24 All right. All right. Here we go. Here

63:25

63:25 we go. Trust me. Can't read that far.

63:29

63:29 All right. Here we go, everybody. This

63:31

63:31 is your misfortune for October 6,

63:36

63:36 episode 154.

63:39

63:39 Your next sexual conquest is the first

63:42

63:42 person you make eye contact with after

63:44

63:44 reading this fortune.

63:51

63:51 [laughter]

63:55

63:55 All right. [laughter] All right. Hey

63:57

63:57 there. Sure.
